The traditional Chinese courtyard represents the intention of combining nature with artificial invention. Through a dialogue between architecture and nature, the design tends to promote thorough and ongoing consciousness of the historical, cultural, and traditional aspects of the area through the Chinese traditional design language.
The architecture combined with regional characteristics, in the form of the stereoscopic courtyard and stilted building to create a place filled with the southern landscape, the undulating terrain. In addition, the frequent rainy days which is the typical weather condition locally were turned into falling water landscapes inside the campus. Students can pass through any place on campus in the rain without an umbrella.
